I’m very privileged to be singing as part of this nine piece ensemble of musicians playing a LIVE soundtrack to the brilliant film Arcadia directed by Paul Wright. The evocative (and wonderful!) score composed by Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) features strings, synths, beats and percussion, vocals and traditional and original songs from British folk legend Anne Briggs - I get to sing Bonnie Boy, Lowlands Away and Anne Briggs’ own The Time Has Come every time we perform it. It’s a dream project…

Guardian review of the film here… https://www.theguardian.com/film/2018/jun/22/arcadia-review-paul-wright-british-countryside
From the BFI website “Scouring 100 years of archive footage, BAFTA-winner Paul Wright constructs an exhilarating study of the British people’s shifting — and contradictory — relationship to the land. The film goes on a sensory, visceral journey through the contrasting seasons, taking in folk carnivals and fetes, masked parades, water divining and harvesting. Set to a grand, expressive new score from Adrian Utley (Portishead) and Will Gregory (Goldfrapp) alongside folk music from the likes of Anne Briggs, Wright’s captivating film essay captures the beauty and brutality, and the magic and madness of rural Britain.”
