Solo - Singing with birdies

I have a little solo outing with some feathered friends…

A fairly last minute booking but I am delighted to say I’ll be singing with those stunning nightingales (not a band but real actual birds) again this coming Saturday 26 April down in glorious Sussex. Sussex, I’m sure, will look sumptuous this time of year what with spring bursting and greening from every inch of earth at the moment. I’ve done SWN several times now and it is always a revitalising, magical and uniquely special experience, not least because of the current threat of extinction from this particular part of the world that these birds face but also because the birds just…sing along, totally uninhibited by human presence, completely unruffled, undisturbed, sublime. It’s more than a real pleasure to be asked to do this again. This evening will be a special extended event, starting at 3pm. I’ll be joining curator, host and singer Sam Lee as usual and also singer Manuel Linares and we will all be graced, of course, by those extraordinary forces of nature wrapped up in a few feathers, the nightingales.
